Pulse 99.5 debuted one of our original songs last night, "Crying Hallelujah". Thanks to DJ Vance and the Pulse staff for their prayers and support.
There have been many road blocks and obstacles in the building of our music ministry. Many people have tried to tear us down and have spoken falsely against us. Many have believed these false testimonies and as a result have disregarded us as fakes and phonies.
To be perfectly honest, I (Scott) am not perfect. I strive for that very thing but I know that in this life it is simply unattainable. I will never give up trying and that is the very reason I pray for all those people who have accepted a lie for truth. Christ suffered and was falsely accused. Christ was spat on and beaten. Christ was mocked and took the sins of us all to "Save a wretch like me".
True ministry is not a cakewalk. True ministry is more often than not an uphill battle and not made for the faint of heart. Anyone can answer the call to "Battle" because all power and authority is given to us through the name of Christ. Some are not ready or willing to claim that power and that is very unfortunate.
I bless those who support us and I bless those who don't. I pray in the same manner for both. I have the same degree of love for both. If we are "Christians" and not just religious, this is what we are called to do. Like it or not.
Someone once said to me, "I would rather be persecuted for what I believe in than accepted for what I don't." This is a powerful truth given by God. This also came from someone who almost succeeded in pulling our ministry apart. I still love this person and pray daily on her behalf.
Once we use Christ as our example and take the focus off acceptance by man, that is when the true and lasting blessing comes. That is also when the road becomes narrow and bumpy. The road less traveled. The road to heartache with everlasting and eternal rewards.
Thank you, Everyone of you,
Scott Sydness
